I started my photography journey when I was very young. After receiving my B.A in Cinema and Photography with a specialization in Photography from Southern Illinois University - Carbondale, I traveled to LA to intern for local photographer David Zentz. There, I learned the ins and outs of a photographer’s business. Once I returned back from LA, I held a variety of jobs that grew and strengthened my career. From Image Editor to Real Estate Photographer, my journey landed me at my current position as the Visual Media Specialist at Moraine Valley Community College within their Marketing and Communications department. While working at Moraine Valley, I have worked with many talented professionals on countless different marketing projects, and have really honed into my craft and style. In my free time, I enjoy using my Canon AE-1 that was handed down to me by my grandfather. I also love hiking (specifically exploring Arizona landscapes), and diving into my own projects as part of my photo illustrations mind. I always strive to achieve authenticity in my imagery, particularly when photographing people. Spontaneous candids are my favorite type to capture. I admire and am inspired by greats such as Sally Mann, Elliott Erwitt, Ernst Haas, Ansel Adams and Duane Michals. If you would like to know more about me and my work, please reach out!
